This winter curl up next to the gentle glow of a slow burning hardwood fire and pour yourself a glass of this 40 year old single malt Scotch whiskey. Savour it slowly and you will find this an amazingly deep and complex whisky, layered with chocolate and honey, with a long dry, smoky, peaty finish.
According to a panel of 75 international whiskey experts, this is the worlds finest single malt Scotch whiskey.

Glenfiddich 40 Year Old

“It is the most urbane Glenfiddich that I have tasted… it tells a story a little at a time, dryly, almost teasingly. It makes such good company that I am reluctant to share it.” says world renowned whiskey connoisseur Michael Jackson, author of The Malt Whisky Companion.
Collector’s notes:
Limited edition of 600 bottles; packaged in a hand-made oak box with a brass plaque; bottle label and tasting notes personalised with the bottle number and bottling date; each bottle is signed by Peter Gordon, the great-great-grandson of Glenfiddich distillery founder William Grant; in 2001 it won three awards: Gold Medal – International Spirit Challenge; Silver Medal – International Wine and Sprits Competition; top score (9.5 out of 10), Whisky Magazine.

Rémy Cointreau Global Travel Retail has launched their Rémy Martin Louis XIII Rare Cask Cognac which is being spoken of  as “supremely rare”. The exclusivity and rarity makes me want a taste even more!

Through a combination of factors such as climate and humidity during its ageing, the cask has developed an extra strength of 43.8 instead of 40 degrees. Handcrafted in black crystal, more than 50 operations are necessary to make a Louis XIII decanter, all of which must be executed by a team of some 20 master craftsmen working together before the glass cools. For the first time in the history of Louis XIII, cellar master Pierrette Trichet has decided to present one cask as a special edition to be enjoyed by connoisseurs.

The neck of the decanter is dressed in palladium and is  presented in a coffret forged in metal. Mirrors and internal lighting aim to display the lustre of the black crystal, and the neck of the decanter is secured by a metal clasp that is designed to present the black crystal stopper like a precious jewel.

The coffret is embellished with a quatrefoil design inspired by the royal fleur-de-lys of France, aiming to offer a contemporary rendition of a traditional motif that celebrates the historic roots of Louis XIII.

Only 786 bottles are available worldwide and each bottle comes for a price of €10,000 (or $15,000 USD).

Interbrand partnered with the Courvoisier team to design their recently launched luxury cognac, L’Essence de Courvoisier. Following years of exploration to create the perfect blend,
L’Essence de Courvoisier will be the jewel of Courvoisier’s permanent higher styles.

The droplet shape of the bottle is one of Courvoisier’s key visual equities, which we adopted in the design. The cognac is captured inside a Baccarat crystal, droplet shaped bottle suspended within a gold frame to accentuate its preciousness. The cognac is presented in a Baccarat crystal , droplet shaped bottle suspended within a gold frame to accentuate its preciousness and retails at almost $3,000.

Daniela Nunzi Mihranian, Creative Director and Sara Faulkner, Senior Designer led the project at Interbrand, “we are delighted to have had the opportunity to work with such an iconic brand as Courvoisier. The project has been really inspiring and enjoyable and we are truly thrilled to see the final work out in the real world”.”

It’s no mystery why we here at Envyme.tv decided to spotlight Armand de Brignac Champagne. Rapper Jay-Z recently appeared on the Angie Martinez’ Hot 97 show, where he revealed the Armand de Brignac (Ace of Spades) champagne he endorses was ranked #1 in the world after taste tests. The results were published on September 24 in Fine Champagne magazine, the only international publication devoted to champagne.

Each Champagne was rated on a 100-point scale. The process was so strict that, if judges’ assessments were more than four points apart, the Champagne would be re-tasted and re-assessed.
