The Brazilian supermodel, who has graced in Victoria’s Secret as well as Givenchy ads, has landed a new gig right in between both brands for the sexy yet high-fashion Blumarine.

For fall/winter 2011/12, Italian designer Anna Molinari’s fashion label revisits earlier campaigns: Lima already starred in its ads back in 1997.

Shot by Michelangelo di Battista in Paris, the new images show Blumarine’s trend-conscious fall/winter collection, with Lima modeling everything from color block to animal print and lace.

I have to admit i was a bit surprised by the collaboration photo-shoot with Sean Combs and Natalia Vodianova for this photoshoot. I loved the classic look minus the bling and extravagance that you would expect from Mr. Combs aka “DIDDY”. Sean wears classic mens cut suits and the editorial captures scenes that remind us of classic romanticism in a war time era. They both look amazing and Sean Combs never fails to impress me.

March 18 is the set date for Italian Fashion designer Giorgio Armani to open his fashion labels first hotel in the tallest building in the world at the Burj Khalifa. The Burj Khalifa is formerly known as the Burj Dubai.

At the opening of the Burj Khalifa it was announced that the exquisite Armani hotel would open its doors on March 18. The Armani Hotel, a £925million ($1,447million) partnership between Armani and Emaar Properties, will occupy 37 floors of this iconic building.

The first Armani Resort is due to open in Marrakech, while ‘Residency Villas’ are underway in Marassi (Egypt).

Overall, Armani “plans to open at least ten hotels and resorts within the next ten years,” according to a statement.

The brand joins the likes of Versace, Christian Lacroix, and Missoni which have all opened fashion hotels in the past, with the latter planning openings in Brazil and South Africa.

Bookings for Armani’s first hotel will be accepted from late January, but eager travelers can already register online to receive updates on the hotel and its special offers.

Pirelli’s famous trade calendar was launched in London earlier this week, and it looks like 2010 will be a year filled with 30 photos of 11 nude models posing on a Brazilian beach. The edition was shot by Terry Richardson and one model called it “the best thing I’ve done in my whole life.”

The calendar was first shot in 1964 and is given as a corporate gift to a limited number of important Pirelli customers and celebrities. Past years have featured images of Sophia Loren, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Karolina Kurkova and Heidi Klum.

Marisa Miller is the 31 year old supermodel that was chosen to model this year’s Victoria’s Secret Diamond Bra.  The Fantasy Bra is designed by Italian jewelry house Damiani.

The bra is covered in 150 carats of stones which includes a 16-carat heart shaped stone. Marisa told US Weekly that “It’s like being a princess”

Non other than Madonna has hooked up with Italian designers Dolce & Gabbana to showcase their spring/summer 2010 collection in the brand’s future ad campaign.

The campaign will be Sicilian-themed and were shot in Brooklyn, New York, by renowned fashion photographer Stephen Klein.

“To have Madonna in our campaign is a dream come true,” Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana said in a statement.

“It seemed only fitting that Madonna, who embodies both the strong sensuality of the brand and who shares an Italian heritage with the designers should be the one to showcase the Sicilian inspired collection,” the duo remarked of their upcoming collection, which is said to heavily feature corsets.

Burberry to launch makeup line so you can paint your face plaid?

LoL just kidding! Burberry is launching makeup in July 2010 at Nordstrom in the U.S. The makeup launch, which is planned for July next year, will carry around 100 different color products for eyes, lips and skin that will retail at international upscale department stores.

Well if you have never heard of the Infiniti Essence concept car here it is!  An elite gathering at the Louis Vuitton store at Michigan’s Somerset Collection Mall were exposed to a special event to mark the arrival of the Infiniti Essence Concept car.
The pricey car is part of a nationwide tour by Infiniti to stay in touch with customers during 2009, because they’ve decided to stay out of auto shows this year.  Since the car was developed with custom Louis Vuitton luggage, they’re stopping at as many stores as they can and throwing a little bash for select customers and VIPs. This event was held at suburban Detroit’s most pinkie-in-the-air mall, the Somerset Collection, which houses luxury stores including LV, Armani, Burberry and Brooks Brothers.

Adriana Lima, 2009 Tribute

Adriana Francesca Lima (born June 12, 1981 in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil) is a Brazilian supermodel, best known for her work with Victoria’s Secret. She is currently the 3rd highest paid model in the world behind Gisele Bundchen and Kate Moss. She is represented by DNA NY in the United States, Lumiere Models in Brazil and VIVA Models in Europe.

Adriana was discovered when at the age of 15, she finished in first place in a Ford Supermodel of Brazil model search. This got her a ticket to the 1996 Ford Supermodel of the World contest. She didn’t win and placed second, but it still got her noticed. Shortly after, Lima moved to New York City, and eventually moved on from Ford, signing with Elite Model Management. Her early career consisted mostly of fashion editorial work (with early appearances in international editions of Vogue and Marie Claire in 1997/1998), as well as runway work (Christian Lacroix, Valentino, and others). Lima’s first big break came when she was featured in a Vassarette billboard in Times Square. Her print career followed, and like many other famous names (Claudia Schiffer, Laetitia Casta, Eva Herzigova), Lima became a GUESS? Girl in their 2000 campaign.

Lima continued to build upon her entry, doing more print work (Maybelline, Bebe, Mossimo, BCBG) and gracing the cover and editorials of more high fashion magazines (Harper’s Bazaar, ELLE, Vogue). Probably best known for her Victoria’s Secret work and Angel status, Lima first graced the VS runway in 1999, and was the show opener for the 2003 and 2007 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Shows.

In 2001, Adriana Lima starred in the short BMW Film The Follow alongside actors Mickey Rourke, Clive Owen, and Forest Whitaker. In the film, Owen’s character is hired to follow Lima’s, who is suspected of cheating on her famous husband, played by Rourke. The film had a runtime of 8:47 including credits, was written by Andrew Kevin Walker, and directed by Wong Kar-Wai. Lima made it clear that acting is not her priority and that she only did The Follow because it was a short film.

Adriana, a Roman Catholic, was born an only child. She has has been romantically linked to celebrities in this past, including an engagement with rocker Lenny Kravitz and a relationship with Major League Baseball player Derek Jeter. She is currently known to be dating Prince Wenzeslaus of Liechtenstein. This relationship has been a relatively “hot” topic for the society spy columns and celebrity watchers, specifically Page 6, New York Post and Hola! online magazine.

She gained a massive amount of fame in Italy after her mega contract with the Italian cellphone carrier Telecom Italia Mobile grew very popular. In total it earned her 6 million dollars and she has said she’s not able to walk down the street in Italy.

Adriana also does charitable work helping with an orphanage, “Caminhos da Luz” (Ways of Light), located in her hometown. She helps with construction to expand the orphanage, and buys clothes for poor children in Salvador, Bahia.

Adriana’s father walked out on her and her mother when Adriana was 6 months old, Lima has met him only once since. When she was about 15 years old Adriana wanted to travel to Miami for a modeling competition but she was not allowed to leave Brazil without certain legal papers that her father owned. Lima has said that she does not hate her father because “there is a reason for everything” and she believes that her life was fine growing up and that the presence of an unhappy father could have resulted in an unhappy home environment.

“I wouldn’t change anything about my life. I am afraid that if I did, things might have turned out differently and I am currently living my dream. If that means I had to deal with demons, then I will do it. I got through everything and I am very proud of myself…Life without a father was confusing at times, I didn’t know if I was to blame and I didn’t know anything about him…but I love my mother and I have a bond with her that most people don’t share with their own mothers. It all worked out.”
