On September 20th, 2011 Luxboston.com hosted it’s second luxury event in Boston this time with the Lenox Hotel and Aston Martin of New England.
At the Lenox hotel’s restaurant City Table, the invited guest got a chance to experience what a true upscale luxury event should be. With Stoli Elit vodka and Sterling Vineyards wine brand as the two alcohol sponsors together with City table serving up an array of cocktails & hors d’ oeuvres the night could not go wrong!
The latest in Aston Martin car models laced the street and welcomed the guest as they paused to take red carpet style snap shots in front of the hotels entrance.
“The city of Boston needs more events like this” says Kevin Payne, Boston native and founder of LuxBoston.com. “Boston has so much potential but you don’t see many events focusing specifically on luxury products and services, but i intend to change that!”
Kevin’s goal is to host more private upscale b2b and b2c events not only in Boston but Manhattan, Miami, Beverly Hills, Aspen, and internationally. Planned for next spring will be Boston’s first Luxury Summit and Expo. The purpose of these events are to feature the latest in luxury products and services to a invite only crowd of Boston’s taste makers, product placement specialists and luxury connoisseurs along with industry executives. The summit will bring in guest speakers on luxury and how Boston based brands can work together to create better customer experiences and enhance the brands.
Also present at the event was Bruce Ledoux founder of Guardian Angel Motorsports along with wife Linda. Guardian Angel Motorsports is a small group of like minded racers that have raised money and awareness for children’s charities.
“We harness the power and excitement of motorsports to raise awareness for child-related causes. In the past two years combined we’ve donated over $150,000 to children’s charities. That amount wasn’t just raised—it was donated. Which we’re very proud of. But we want to give much much more. The Brazilian supermodel, who has graced in Victoria’s Secret as well as Givenchy ads, has landed a new gig right in between both brands for the sexy yet high-fashion Blumarine.
For fall/winter 2011/12, Italian designer Anna Molinari’s fashion label revisits earlier campaigns: Lima already starred in its ads back in 1997.
Shot by Michelangelo di Battista in Paris, the new images show Blumarine’s trend-conscious fall/winter collection, with Lima modeling everything from color block to animal print and lace.

Kavita Channe… The ‘Barbara Walters’ of Sports
From a reality star to a celebrity/red carpet host turned sports reporter, Kavita Channe is covering all the bases. Not just a pretty face, this girl’s come a long way since her Paradise Hotel days! Her experience on that particular reality show was enough to prove that she was not that “type” of girl, but she values the education it gave her. Actually being on camera, talking to guests, asking interesting questions, getting the “real” story; this is her passion and these are not easy things to do. Everybody can’t do it (otherwise everybody would be on TV right now). Hard work is actually involved and Channe gets it done.
Many of you have seen her conversing with our favorite celebrities on the red carpets of one of the hottest cities, Miami. Whether discussing politics with Joe Francis, discussing art and winter vacations with Paris & Nicky Hilton, chatting it up with Modern Family star, Sofia Vergara or meeting Tila Tequila’s new girlfriend of the month, Kavita Channe gets Down & Dirty with all who she interviews. One of her more unique interviews came when all 4 members of LMFAO appeared on the red carpet and she exclaimed how she was in an “LMFAO sandwich” and she devoured that sandwich with ease.
She has been a correspondent on TLC’s Beauty Spaces and Designing Spaces, even made a small cameo in Michael Covel’s “Broke: The New American Dream” where she discusses investments. But her bread & butter is sports. This woman is nothing like you’ve seen before. Calling herself ‘The Barbara Walters of Sports’ on her Facebook & Twitter, it’s easy to see why with her interviews with athletes such as Lebron James and Dexter Pittman. They are downright funny, original and take you into a personal side of the athlete that many have never seen. Her self moniker is not a far stretch since she did audition for The View in 2004, who the spot ultimately went to Survivor’s Elizabeth Hasselback. “Everything happens for a reason” as Kavita says she “was not near ready at the time, being so young and green” and “is glad” she was not cast. But if asked to do it now, she says she would be casting gold!
And for why she loves reporting on sports, she says that “there is a lot of engaging material than people realize” which prompted her to create a comedic web-based series

At Los Angeles’ Staples Center, she wowed the crowd in a scandalously sexy get-up. In a bejeweled bikini, fishnets and fluorescent pink heels she delivered one memorable show– the R&B singer danced on top of cars with ladies in bodysuits and bright, yellow men.

Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg is now worth $18 billion

Forbes magazine has increased Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth by another $6 billion.
That makes Zuckerberg the third richest guy in technology. He does trail behind Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Oracle’s Larry Ellision.
If we are really comparing it also means that he is richer than Steve Jobs of Apple and Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin. This new valuation was on the basis of investment made by GSV Capital. They bought 225,000 shares of Facebook at a price of $29.28 per share. Since that news broke out, GSV stock has gone up by 40%. As of today Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth was set at $18 billion.
Of course, this whole fortune is on paper only and the real value of Facebook will be known only after it goes public. Still, great going Zuckerberg!

Sports Illustrated’s 2011 Rookie of the Year Kate Upton stars in this exclusive video that pitted unsuspecting souls against the swimsuit beauty in a staring contest.
In 2008, Upton attended a casting call in Miami for Elite Model Management and was signed by them the same day. She eventually moved to New York City, where she signed with IMG Models.
Upton first modeled for Garage, then Dooney & Bourke. She is the 2010–11 face of Guess. In 2011, Upton appeared in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. She was featured in the body paint section and named Rookie of the Year for the issue. She has since modeled for Beach Bunny swimwear and Victoria’s Secret.
In April 2011, an internet video of her doing The Dougie at a Los Angeles Clippers game went viral and has served to increase her popularity.
In a June 2011 episode of Tosh.0, Upton made an appearance, participating in a segment called “Knife or Banana”, emulating a Japanese game show in which she is stabbed with a banana.

Hollywood actress Cameron Diaz has become the new face of luxury watch brand Tag Heuer.
She has agreed to a very lucrative deal with the luxury Swiss timepiece company to endorse its products.
“Cameron doesn’t do many endorsements, so we think she will make a big splash,” said a source.
Actor Leonardo DiCaprio and golfer Tiger Woods have also been brand ambassadors for Tag Heuer in the past.

The night club’s location is one such feature. Allure overlooks the water and extravagant super yachts of the Yacht Club. It is also connected by a bridge to magnificent five-star The Yas Hotel. But the most amazing part of the nightclub is the view. What you see from its balcony is a real Formula One™ race track.
