On September 20th, 2011 Luxboston.com hosted it’s second luxury event in Boston this time with the Lenox Hotel and Aston Martin of New England.
At the Lenox hotel’s restaurant City Table, the invited guest got a chance to experience what a true upscale luxury event should be. With Stoli Elit vodka and Sterling Vineyards wine brand as the two alcohol sponsors together with City table serving up an array of cocktails & hors d’ oeuvres the night could not go wrong!
The latest in Aston Martin car models laced the street and welcomed the guest as they paused to take red carpet style snap shots in front of the hotels entrance.
“The city of Boston needs more events like this” says Kevin Payne, Boston native and founder of LuxBoston.com. “Boston has so much potential but you don’t see many events focusing specifically on luxury products and services, but i intend to change that!”
Kevin’s goal is to host more private upscale b2b and b2c events not only in Boston but Manhattan, Miami, Beverly Hills, Aspen, and internationally. Planned for next spring will be Boston’s first Luxury Summit and Expo. The purpose of these events are to feature the latest in luxury products and services to a invite only crowd of Boston’s taste makers, product placement specialists and luxury connoisseurs along with industry executives. The summit will bring in guest speakers on luxury and how Boston based brands can work together to create better customer experiences and enhance the brands.
Also present at the event was Bruce Ledoux founder of Guardian Angel Motorsports along with wife Linda. Guardian Angel Motorsports is a small group of like minded racers that have raised money and awareness for children’s charities.
“We harness the power and excitement of motorsports to raise awareness for child-related causes. In the past two years combined we’ve donated over $150,000 to children’s charities. That amount wasn’t just raised—it was donated. Which we’re very proud of. But we want to give much much more. We realize that to give more, we need to grow more. ” Luxboston.com contacted Guardian Angel Motorsports for cross promotion and to ultimately help them grow and raise money for children in need.”

2012 Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4
Posted on: June 15, 2011No comments yet
Lamborghini’s next hypercar has made its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show, and dare we say what a hypercar it is! The new Bull God will feature an earth shattering 700hp V12 and the highest power to weight ratio of any car in its class. Yes, this is the new, long waited Lamborghini Aventador LP700-4.
“Aventador” was, according to the best detective work we can muster, a bull whose career peaked in 1993 in the town of Saragozza, Spain, when he and the torero had a particularly spirited encounter prior to ol’ Aventador’s inevitable skewering. This particular beastie belonged to the breeding stables of the sons of Don Celestino Cuadri Vides and, for unknown reasons surely banal, he bore the number 32 singed on his hide. And now he gets the strongest Lamborghini ever built named after him. And about damned time! The British were getting tired of mispronouncing “Murcièlago” over the past ten years and now they have a new proper name to mutilate.
The new 691-hp (SAE), 6.5-litre V12 engine out back – called “L539″ in Lambo-speak – is a massive 40 lbs. lighter than the Murcièlago engine, sits 2.8 inches lower in the chassis, is nine percent more powerful, and produces upwards of 20 percent better fuel efficiency in the hands of the right driver (for a whopping 13.7 mpg average). Dry weight of an Aventador is now just 3,472 lbs. compared to the Murcièlago’s 3,671 lbs., a healthy five percent reduction in a class segment where weight loss is a crucial and constant challenge. Weight distribution is a predictable 43 percent front and 57 rear.

How about a graphite finish 19-inch alloys and a touch-based infotainment system, exclusive to the series, which is a long due feature they they finally incorporated.
Crewe’s design team has put together 14 special color combinations for the Bentley Continental Flying Spur Series 51 (which also challenges for the title of longest name yet), but buyers can specify an infinite array of combos of their choosing.
Full details can be found in the press release after the jump!
NEW DESTINATIONS FOR 2012 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL FLYING SPUR
A range of 14 Continental Flying Spur ‘Series 51′ design options unveiled Advanced and intuitive touchscreen infotainment technology introduced on all Continental Flying Spur and Supersports models
(Crewe, England. 11 November, 2010) The Continental Flying Spur and its sporting stablemate the 200mph (322km/h) Flying Spur Speed are the most successful four-door Grand Tourers in Bentley’s history and among the best-selling ultra-luxury saloons in the world.
Since its launch, the Flying Spur has achieved extraordinary sales success across the globe in traditional markets like the USA, the Middle East and UK as well as emerging luxury markets such as China and Russia.
The Flying Spur has attracted a new generation of luxury car buyers to the Bentley marque and has played a pivotal role in the company’s revitalisation. The Flying Spur’s blend of craftsmanship, dynamic performance, style and practicality appeals in equal measure to those who demand an exciting driving experience and those seeking refinement and comfort.
Now the luxurious style of the Flying Spur is even more compelling with the introduction of a range of dramatic Series 51 designs, first seen on the Continental GT and GTC. Customers of both the Flying Spur and Flying Spur Speed models may now select from a range of 14 Series 51 designs, recommended by Bentley’s colour and trim experts. In addition, all Continental Flying Spur and Supersports models are now specified as standard with a state-of-the-art, 30GB touchscreen infotainment system, seamlessly integrated into their handcrafted cabins.
Continental Flying Spur Series 51
Series 51 represents Bentley design at its most vibrant. It allows customers of both Continental Flying Spur and Flying Spur Speed to order ‘off the peg’ from an innovative and exclusive range of recommended combinations created by Bentley’s colour and trim designers at the company’s headquarters in Crewe, England, as Dirk van Braeckel, Bentley’s director of design comments:
“The Series 51 design concept is inspired by the spirit of the inaugural Bentley styling department in Crewe established by the gifted John Blatchley, who shaped the original and iconic 1950s Bentley Continentals. Today, it provides for a virtually bespoke ordering service due to the thousands of configurations available through Bentley’s expansive colour and trim catalogue.”
First offered on the Continental GT and GTC in 2009, Bentley’s colour and trim team has now created no fewer than14 unique Series 51 designs for theContinental Flying Spur and Flying Spur Speed, enabling customers to tailor their cars to their individual tastes as Melinda June-Jenkins, manager of colour and trim, explains:
“Each Series 51 Flying Spur is instantly recognisable – most notably in the cabin area – where the colour and trim team has created a wide selection of three-tone interiors demonstrating the full potential of the company’s vast colour palette.”
For Series 51 designs, the Bentley styling team operates on a ‘rule of three’ principle to create complex but harmonising colour schemes of depth and beauty, inspired by a customer’s simple choice of three contrasting colours. With luxurious wood veneers and leather hides as the main canvas, the colour and trim specialists begin with a main interior colour (typically a darker shade) and then select a second insert colour to provide an eye-catching contrast. A critical skill is identifying the third ‘accent’ colour for the stitching and piping.
The selection of wood veneers or aluminium panels for the dashboard either complements the overall look or provides even greater contrast if the customer so desires.
Bentley has reserved the limited-edition Sapelli Pomelle veneer (which provides a rare, naturally occurring quilted effect in the wood) for the Series 51 Flying Spur and a range of further options, including Bentley’s leather trimmed child seat and scatter cushions for the rear seats, may also be specified to further complement the exclusive design.
Whilst the 14 options for the Series 51 Flying Spur provide customers with the opportunity to select some of Bentley’s most eye-catching design work, the colour and trim team is also more than happy to create even more bespoke designs, knowing they have only shown a fraction of the possibilities, as Melinda-June Jenkins explains:
“One of the most exciting aspects of the Series 51 designs is the feedback from Bentley customers and their desire to explore further what we can offer. Series 51 provides just a starting point and now we are creating designs which make an even stronger and more personal statement.”
Striking range of Series 51 duo-tone paint options
The same imaginative use of colour is extended to the coachwork of all Series 51 Continental Flying Spurs. A range of striking John Blatchley-inspired duo-tone paint options, with one accent colour sweeping from the bonnet, over the roof and onto the bootlid, may be specified.
The paint range encompasses cool and crisp hues through to rich and fiery shades and everything in between with the Bentley colour and trim team recommending one of the three selected interior colours to complement and highlight the relationship between inside and out.
Bentley has also created a unique Series 51 graphite-finished nine-spoke, 19-inch sports alloy wheel, while twin Series 51 wing badges, positioned behind the front wheel arches, complete the bespoke look.
As a further sporting touch, all the latest Continental Flying Spurs, including Series 51 models, may now be specified with distinctive blue brake callipers and front wing vents styled by Bentley’s head of exterior design, Raul Pires. These sleek vents, positioned to the rear of the front wheel arches, are set into a uniquely tooled wing panel and feature a black or chrome mesh finish.
Advanced and intuitive touchscreen infotainment technology
All 2012 model year Bentley Continental Flying Spur and Supersports coupe and convertible models are now equipped with a new, highly-advanced touchscreen infotainment system that provides rich map imagery and a 30GB on-board hard drive.
An 8-inch screen displays the car’s audio system, telephone, ride and comfort settings as well as the very latest navigation system, which uses both an in-car hard-disc drive and a DVD player to access route data. It also utilises dynamic navigation to avoid heavy traffic spots, locates destinations using geo-tagged photos from an SD memory card and is Google Maps-compatible for most markets.
The infotainment system, with 7-digit postcode entry, combines touchscreen controls and classic Bentley knurled rotary switches to offer instant usability and crystal-clear feedback. The graphic interface of the screen was specified by Bentley’s interior design team to ensure its visuals are wholly in keeping with the classic, handcrafted interior. The ‘knurled’ switches on the screen for example, are ‘virtual’ echoes of the knurled texture of the jewel-like rotary switches below.
The latest Continental Flying Spur and Supersports models also benefit from telephone and music player connectivity, digital television (where available) and DVD movie playback. Music can be played and controlled directly from an iPod as well as from a six-disc CD changer, SD card reader or directly from the car’s hard-disc drive, which can store up to 15GB of music.
The new infotainment system is complemented by a new driver information panel (DIP) located in the main instrument cluster. The new wide-screen DIP employs TFT technology and enhanced graphics provide the driver with clear and easily accessible information about a wide range of car systems. These include the setting of head lamp ‘coming home’ controls, door locking and mirror functions while providing significantly improved control of such features as phone pairing and bluetooth media connectivity.
The new 2012 model year Continental Flying Spur, Flying Spur Speed and their Series 51 design options, together with the 2012 Supersports coupe and convertible models go on sale from March 2011.
How i got a local Lamborghini and Aston Martin dealership to do an event
Posted on: November 8, 20102 comments so far (is that a lot?)
I once wanted to wow the Boston scene and do something different for an Envyme.tv launch event. I needed to do something that really has never been done in this conservative city before. People asked me “Kevin how did you get Lamborghini to show up at your event’?” I not only got Lamborghini Boston to show up but also a handful of sponsors like Skyy Vodka and Lamborghini owners to show up with their Lambos!
That night we packed Mantra and i felt like a celebrity. It was a great feeling!
So how did i do it? Well I put on my best suit, drove to the dealership with one of my female models and simply asked them to come. I told them about what i wanted to accomplish and how they would benefit from it, including the demographics and people that i was inviting.
A few years later, same city different game. This time it was for my other company LuxBoston.com. I wanted to do another launch event but with Aston Martin (my favorite automobile manufacturer) . How did i do it? Again i went up to the dealership this time with my beautiful girlfriend and told them about the event and simply asked them to host it! It was not easy and i had to prove myself but i pulled it off! It turned out to be a very cool event at Mars Made with food and drinks provided by Rocca!
The next event for LuxBoston.com will be around April of 2011 at State Room. Lets see who i can get to sponsor this high end event!! Its going to be a challenge but im up for it!
Show confidence in yourself , just ask!!! These people can read a fake a mile away so if your not passionate do yourself a favor and stay home.

Is it me or does the new Ferrari 599 resemble a Corvette? Either way its HOT!! I want one!!
These are the first official images of the highly anticipated 599 GTO. Designed to be the ultimate road-going Ferrari, the GTO features a 6.0-liter V12 engine with 661 hp (493 kW / 670 PS) and 457 lb-ft (619 Nm) of torque. It enables the 1495 kg (3295 lb) supercar to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.35 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 208 mph (335 km/h). Thanks to the powerful engine, the 599 GTO can lap the Fiorano test circuit in 1 minute 24 seconds – a full second faster than the Enzo.

Do you like what this Dubai resident did to an already super hot Mercedes SL65? It seemed that he was not satisfied with what i though was in already perfect auto! He asked non other than Brabus to fine tune his SL65 Black Series. This personalized, one-off Black Series is called the Vanish and features a modest black matte finish.
When thinking of the Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series, it’s only natural to think of a model that exemplifies the tuning prowess of AMG. Straight from the factory it’s capable of hitting 62 mph in 3.8 seconds and 124 mph in 11.0 seconds before achieving a top speed of an electronically limited 198.8 mph. For most, that’s plenty of power; but for an unknown Middle Eastern SL65 AMG Black Series owner, it was just the starting point.
The end result is a said bump in power of some 130 hp – taking the SL65 Black’s standard 670 hp to the 800 hp mark. Larger turbos, a new gearbox, larger brake pads and an upgraded exhaust system are attributed to making it all possible. As for the result of the power boost, BRABUS hasn’t quoted specifics, but it likely shaves a few tenths off the acceleration times while removing the speed limiter likely bumps top speed well into the 200+ mph range.
Jaguar XKR Speed & Black Pack for 2011

Jaguar is showing some power for the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. For 2011 Jaguar is offering two new option packages for the top-of-the-line XKR coupe. The Speed Pack and the Black Pack. The Speed back boosts the XKR top speed from 250 km/h to 280 km/h with the aid of engine and transmission tweaks. New aerodynamics including a sizable rear spoiler help keep it in check. Body-colored side sills and rear diffuser along with red brake calipers give it a bit of a visual edge as well.
The Black Pack gets you 20” gloss black Kalimnos alloy wheels, gloss black finishing for the window surrounds and front grilles, and body coloured front and rear spoilers and boot lid.
Inside you’ll find Charcoal leather upholstery that can be customized with a number of contrast stitching colours and grains. Interior finishes and veneers for the fascia and door trims are available in a choice of Dark Oak, Dark Mesh Aluminum and Piano Black. Can’t decide which package to choose? Good news – you can get both.

The first beautiful brute is a new version of the GTStreet R Model. This is based on the 2010 911 Turbo, the GTStreet R is about serious performance. Ferrari 599 Hybrid Concept to Appear in Geneva
Posted on: February 3, 2010No comments yet
The hybrid version of the 599 GTB is expected to be revealed during the 2010 Geneva International Auto Show in March. Rumor has it that the hybrid 599 will use a modified version of the Kinetic Energy Retrieval System that was employed in Formula 1 racing in 2009 but discontinued in 2010. If that’s the case, an electric motor will be added to the car’s drivetrain that will act as a generator during braking to recover some energy, which would then be stored in a battery and used to boost performance on demand.
Overall a reduction of about 35% in fuel consumption (equivalent to about 17 litres per 100km) will be achieved.
Ferrari debuts the exclusive P540 Superfast Aperta
Posted on: January 26, 2010No comments yet
Ferrari has officially unveiled the exclusive P540 Superfast Aperta in Palm Beach Florida at the Cavallino Classic. Created by the company’s Special Projects division, for American Edward Walson (the son of the man who invented cable television), the Aperta was inspired by the Carrozzeria Fantuzzi-designed Ferrari which appeared in the movie Toby Dammit.
According to Ferrari, “The P540 was designed by Pininfarina and built in Maranello, and the client was directly involved in each stage of its development. As the 599 GTB Fiorano donor car is a coupé, considerable effort went into strengthening the chassis by using finite element analysis in development and the increase in weight was kept down to just 20 kg (44 lbs) by employing carbon-fiber extensively. From the initial sketches to the final, road-legal car took just 14 months.”
Like the standard 599 GTB, the Aperta is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 engine with 456 kW (620 hp) and 608 Nm of torque. While performance specifications weren’t released, Ferrari says the car has a combined fuel economy rating of 17.9L/100 km and a CO2 emissions rating of 415 g/km.

Lamborghini Ankonian Concept

You gotta Envy Lamborghini, they are always on the cutting edge of supercar design and innovation. The Lamborghini Ankonian concept was designed by Slavche Tanevsky which is a very aggressive version of Lambo’s famous Reventon!
According to the designer, the Ankonian takes the design of the Reventon to the next level, even though the concept itself manages a unique expression. The supercar concept has a more aggressive design, and is downsized to account for a more environment-friendly status, though it does not include any hybrid or similar technologies. The concept was named after a bull type famous for black hair, and since the designer had some help from professional designers at Lamborghini and Audi, the finished model has impressive looks.

The “Nocturne” – a special Veyron five car edition exclusively for the Middle East Market
The Veyron “Nocturne” strikes with an extraordinary partition of surfaces never used so far,
giving the car a new dimension of lateral length. Bugatti is experimenting with galvanized side
windows continuing the line of the polished aluminium upper body parts to the rear of the car
and contrast vividly with the uni black of the side- and door-panels and the roof. Added to that is
the hood, also covered in polished aluminium which emphasizes this impression of elegant
length. Special polished custom rims at the exterior and a futuristic interior dominated by a black
nanocoated magnesium dashboard and a centre console in galvanized Platinum complete this
unique combination of individualized modern design.
This mini series has been especially developed for the Middle East Market honouring its
importance and its strong partners in the area – Al Habtoor Motors, UAE, Al Zayani Trading
Co., Kuwait, Al Ghassan Motors, Saudi Arabia and Dana Motors, Quatar.
“Sang d’Argent” and “Soleil de Nuit” – two dreams for 1001 nights
The two-tone-scheme of the Centenary Villa d’Este cars were at the origin of the “Sang
d’Argent”, a one-off Veyron version built exclusively for the Middle East. But the country coded
coloured parts of the car have now been changed to a subtle silver metallic which discreetly flows
into the lines of the polished aluminium parts – doors and front wings – thus enhancing the
“silver theme” of this car; yet another unique Bugatti creation celebrating the 100th anniversary
of the brand. The “Sang d’Argent” has the Grand Sport rims, they complete together with the air
intakes on the roof the overall silver appearance.
Through the windows shines a differentiating Havanna interior with quilting pattern on seats
and saddle and other very personalized items emphasizing the unique features of this very special
Bugatti.
The “Soleil de Nuit” – Sun of the Night – is another stunning example of how a modern
interpretation of Bugatti’s core values “Art, Forme, Technique”: A very unusual colour/material
split characterizes the “Soleil de Nuit”, the second Middle East one-off model created for the
Dubai Motor Show. The horizontal split in the lower part of the car – a synthesis of polished
Aluminium, painted Black Blue Metallic enriched by mirror shine meshes – softens the lines of
this Grand Sport and gives the body a new touch of sportiness. Blue Metallic in the upper body
parts and also in the inner side of the (“Sang Noir”) rims, the outer side of which are in diamond
cut, underline the exquisite appearance of this dramatic looking car. A strong burnt orange
interior crowns the attractiveness of this impressive “Soleil de Nuit”.
The cars will be available for delivery in the first quarter of 2010. Their prices range from 1.65
Mio Euro for the five car series of the “Nocturne” to 1.45 Mio Euro for the “Sang d’Argent” and
1.55 Mio for the “Soleil de Nuit”, the Veyron and Grand Sport one-off models.
All these models are a visible proof of how creativeness and inspiration can be successfully driven
to new limits. Bugatti’s constant strive for new technology, more power with less weight, more
innovative design aiming for improved speed, easier handling and more inspiring elegance has
become legendary. Bugatti’s sophisticated individualization and personalization program has
opened new opportunities for the creative and discerning customers found in the Middle East.
New materials have widened the range of personalized options and have led to combinations and
applications of different varieties of high tech elements never seen before. Thus Bugatti chose
the Dubai Motor Show to present these new combinations the first and only time to a broader
public.
100 years later the Bugatti brand is well established again
Honouring the foundation of the company in 1909 Bugatti Automobiles S.A.S opened the
anniversary with a one-off version of the Veyron, the “Bleu Centenaire”, at the Geneva Motor
Show in March. At the Villa d’Este weekend at the end of April the company paid tribute to
Bugatti’s racing history – which was to a great extend responsible for the worldwide reputation
of the brand – with four very special Grand Sports, accompanied by their respective Type 35
predecessors, all featuring the traditional racing colours representing France, Italy, England and
Germany, namely blue, red, green and white. Bugatti was then one of the honoured marques at
the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California in August and highlighted the event with
the presentation of the “Sang Bleu”, a one off Grand Sport in a breathtaking and unique carbon
– aluminium combination. The “100th Anniversary Weekend” in Molsheim in September was
the platform for a glimpse into the future which might look like the Bugatti 16 C Galibier
concept – intended to be the most exclusive, elegant and powerful four door automobile in the
world.
The presentation of these very special cars at the Dubai Motor Show is the final highlight, with
which Bugatti ends its Centenary celebrations. We are honoured to complete our 100 Years at
this prestigious Motor Show of a very important market for Bugatti.

PRESS RELEASE
BENTLEY MOTORS PREPARES ALL-NEW FLAGSHIP MULSANNE FOR LAUNCH IN 2010
o Production to begin at Crewe in Spring 2010; first deliveries to America to commence in the Fall of 2010
o Starting price of $285,000* in the United States
o Early customer interest exceeds 2010 production targets
(1 December 2009. Crewe, England) Bentley Motors today announced more details of its all-new flagship motorcar, the Mulsanne, following successful debuts at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in August and Frankfurt’s IAA motor show in September. More than 1,000 private previews of Mulsanne have also been held at the company’s factory in Crewe, England and during a seven-city U.S. tour.
To be priced at $285,000* in the United States, the Mulsanne has been designed and engineered without compromise by Bentley’s craftsmen and engineers to combine refined performance and unparalleled levels of luxury with the coach building elegance for which the marque has long been renowned.
Stuart McCullough, Member of the Board for Sales & Marketing for Bentley Motors, comments:
“Even at this very early stage, the expression of interest we’ve received easily exceeds our 2010 production targets. Mulsanne’s credentials are a pure expression of Bentley design and craftsmanship, and that’s struck a chord with Bentley enthusiasts as well as many of the potential customers we have welcomed for tours in Crewe this year. We’ve been encouraged by the positive commentary, notably from our American customers as the Mulsanne was privately previewed in seven metro markets across the country.”
Production of the Mulsanne will commence at Bentley’s Crewe (England) headquarters in the second quarter of 2010. A newly constructed body production facility, dedicated to Mulsanne, is being completed where leading-edge body assembly technology, such as superforming of the aluminum front wings for superb surface definition, will complement traditional, highly skilled metalworking including hand-brazing of steel joints for a ‘hewn from solid’ appearance.
Bentley’s Mulsanne will arrive in the USA in the Fall of 2010 and will offer customers a world of infinite choice when commissioning their cars. The luxury Bentley flagship offers a palette of 114 paint colors, 21 carpet colors, nine wood veneers and 24 interior leather hides, all of which will be tanned using a decades-old process to ensure this future classic never loses its scent. In addition, through Bentley’s bespoke service, unique colors can exactly match a customer’s vision and taste. With more standard leather and wood veneer than any other Bentley in the modern era, the Mulsanne will take nine weeks to build.
Bentley’s legendary hand-assembled V8 engine pays homage to its predecessors but for the new Mulsanne is comprehensively re-engineered employing advanced technologies to deliver unstressed refined performance. The new Bentley V8 engine is lighter and features cylinder de-activation and variable cam phasing, contributing to a significant reduction in both fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
Advanced technology is exquisitely packaged within the Mulsanne’s opulent cabin. Behind its heritage-inspired dials and new glass-effect switches lie leading edge features including iPod and mp3 connectivity, Bluetooth and a SIM card reader, as well as a 3G MMI system. Those opting for NAIM’s premium audio system will be treated to the world’s most powerful system fitted to a production vehicle – a 20-channel 2,200-watt experience.
Bentley Motors will announce further pricing news for international markets in the near future as well as further information about the extensive range of additional options with which the Mulsanne can be specified.
Founder W.O. Bentley had a vision of building “a good car, a fast car, the best in its class.” 90 years later, Bentley’s new flagship Mulsanne will be positioned at the pinnacle of the premium segment with respect to quality, authenticity and supremacy.

The calendar was first shot in 1964 and is given as a corporate gift to a limited number of important Pirelli customers and celebrities. Past years have featured images of Sophia Loren, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Karolina Kurkova and Heidi Klum.
Eniko Mihalik, Rosie Huntington Whiteley, Catherine McNeil, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Daisy Lowe, Gracie Carvalho, Marloes Horst, Lily Cole, Ana Beatriz Barros, Miranda Kerr, and Georgina Stojiljkovic all appear nude in this 2010 Pirelli Calendar as shot by Terry Richardson.

Adolf Hitler’s Mercedes bought by Russian Billonaire
Posted on: November 24, 2009No comments yet
Yes you read it correctly, a Russian Billionaire just purchased Hitlers Mercedes. Memorabilia related to the Nazi dictator are known to surface at auctions and they sell for lots of money. The unnamed billionaire recently dished out a couple Million to buy this Mercedes used by Adolf Hitler. The car’s salesman, Michael Froehlich said that he was contacted a few months ago a representative of the wealthy businessman, eager to find out what happened to the “770K” blue once used by Hitler.
Apparently after weeks and weeks of searching the dealer found out that the car was in Austria at the end of World War II. It had been moved to a classic car Museum in Las Vegas and then into the hands of a Bavarian beer magnate. After the Magnate’s death in 2008, his wife wanted to sell the wretched car. The Russian buyer arrived in Germany on a private jet and purchased the Mercedes. The car now resides in Moscow where Hitler never got the chance to drive it!
I personally would have spent 2mill to see the thing burn but hey everyone has his or
own opinion right?
Rumored Urus is Lamborghini’s answer to Ferrari’s Enzo
Posted on: November 24, 2009No comments yet
You would be wrong if you think that Lamborghini is one of those automakers that needs to readily respond to some ephemeral new niche created by a competitor. But knowing Lamborghini’s history as a company founded to compete against Ferrari, their rivalry is the stuff that automotive legends are often made of.
Cars UK is reporting that Lamborghini is developing a new model called the Urus to compete with Ferrari’s next Enzo (the Ferrari FX70 beater). This model will be separate from the Murcielago replacement known as the Jota, and will be slotted below the Urus. So two new models are in development here, just to keep things clear.
According to a Cars UK source, the Urus will have a modified version of the Jota chassis, which is made out of carbon fiber. As opposed to the Jota, which has a body composed of both aluminum and carbon fiber parts, the Urus’s body will be made solely out of carbon fiber and will come with active aerodynamics.
The Urus will share the same 6.0 liter V12 engine with the Jota, only the Urus will get it worked up to close to 800 hp, while the Jota will have to settle for about 700 hp. This will mean the Urus will likely crack the 3.0 second mark in the 0 to 100 km/h sprint time.
The Jota is expected to make its debut sometime next year (2010). The Urus will only come later, probably in 2011 and only making it to dealer pavement by 2012.
Please note the artist rendering above is only for illustrative purposes. Special thanks to Active-Design and Sergio.
Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport

A Car to be Envied!
Described as the world’s fastest roadster, the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport will be assembled by hand at the company’s headquarters in Molsheim, Alsace.
The engine of the 2009 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport is just a collection of whistles, whines and whinnies at low speed, but now it suddenly finds its turbocharged W16 lungs and roars next to my head. The 100 km/h (62 mph) mark falls in 2.7 seconds and then 200 km/h (124 mph) arrives in just 7.3 seconds. With every flick of the shift paddles, the seven-speed dual-clutch automated manual transmission punches us forward and the W16 sucks a fresh gulp of air into those perfectly sculpted airboxes above your head.
The Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport would blast through 300 km/h (186 mph) in just 16.7 seconds. This is pure, unadulterated power. And with the roof removed and the engine now exposed and nestling right next to the luxuriously trimmed sport seats, it’s an even richer experience.
Of course you don’t just chop the roof off a 250-mph car. That’s why the Veyron’s carbon-fiber monocoque has been strengthened by reinforcing the B-pillars, door sills and the transmission tunnel, while there’s a structural plate beneath the transmission. The doors are now made from carbon-fiber and a crash-protection beam of aerospace steel lies within. The engine’s exposed airboxes are also reinforced so they’ll provide rollover protection.
What makes this a convertible is the targa-style transparent polycarbonate roof. You’ll also notice the Grand Sport’s slightly higher windshield and the LED running lights.
The Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport is priced at 1.4 million Euros
Lamborghini Envy
Posted on: November 14, 2009No comments yet
Who doesn’t like Lamborghini? We love Ferrari as well but what stands out in my mind is how Lambo got started.
Ferruccio Lamborghini was born in Italy back in 1916. He was noted as being a “wizard at mechanical improvisation” and became very much in demand at fixing engines. Ferruccio realized that there was a desperate need for tractors in the agricultural area in which he lived. He found he could build about one tractor a month from derelict military vehicles. As Italy’s economy grew, demand for his high quality tractors started to grow. He began building his own tractor engines. His tractor business became very successful reaching a rate of over 400 a month in 1960.
Ok so here is the good part!!! Ferruccio Lamborghini was frustrated with problems he had with a clutch in a Ferrari (a Ferrari 250 GT), and went to visit Enzo Ferrari who’s factory was nearby. Enzo had no time for a tractor manufacture and simply dismissed him. Lamborghini decided there was nothing Ferrari was doing he could not do better. He decided too build his own car with a V12 engine and then the Lamborghini was born!
Ferruccio Lamborghini is truly a man to be envied because of his vision to be the best!

The cabin structure too is made of carbon fiber which contributes to the light-weight of the car.

Suited in a black titanium carbide coated 316L stainless steel, the design of the MERIDIIST Automobili Lamborghini phone reflects the sports car down to its famed signature on the battery cover which resembles the Lamborghini Murcielago LP 640‘s V12 engine block.
The display of this luxurious phone is made from 60.5 carats of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Every phone is individually numbered and features Automobili Lamborghini’s trademark Taurus bull on the steel central button.
This phone seems to have some pretty cool features. It has a hidden 2 megapixel camera with 2GB memory. You can peronsalize your phone by opting for the rubber, calfskin leather or genuine alligator decorative back cover.
The MERIDIIST also features a dual-function TAG Heuer switch. By touching this switch a polite call rejection process is issued; it also illuminates the unique time display mounted at the top of the Meridiist, and switches the direction from which the time can be viewed or launches a 1/100th of a second chronograph. The luxurious phone offers seven hours talk time or 28 days standby power.
Paying tribute to the year Automobili Lamborghini was founded, just 1963 units of the MERIDIIST phone will be sold worldwide.
A Ferrari based theme park in Abu Dhabi
Posted on: November 2, 20091 comment so far
Im not sure if Abu Dhabi is a little Envious of Dubai. I think they are tired of Dubai always stealing the limelight as the star of the United Arab Emirates, but that may change. Abu Dhabi is constructing a F1 spec race track and a Ferrari-based theme park set to open in 2010.
This park will feature an iconic red roof thats supposed to be directly inspired by the classic double curve side profile of the Ferrari GT body, spanning 2,152,782 square feet and carrying the largest Ferrari logo ever created.
The theme park would include amazing rides, a roller-coaster which is being touted as the world’s fastest and also a simulated F1 car ride.
Great, now Lamborghini is going to have something to be Envious about!!

Lexus LFA Supercar
Posted on: October 26, 20092 comments so far (is that a lot?)
Holy Sh$t, I never really had respect for Lexus until now! Lexus has got my heart pounding with their new Supercar the LFA! Apparently the LFA is not a closely guarded secret as is first versions have appeared in concept form and various revised editions since 2005. The LFA is the first production version Supercar ever unveiled by Lexus, and it’s boasting some serious credentials to challenge the likes of Ferrari and Lamborghini. Yes I said Ferrari and Lambo!
Underneath the hood is a 4.8-liter V10 capable of 552 bhp and 354 lb-ft of torque, and when taking the lightweight carbon fiber reinforced plastic chassis into consideration, it makes for an exceptional power-to-weight ratio – that will put the current Japanese supercar contender, the Nissan GTR to shame.
The video and the music is enough to get my heart racing alone! I would love to get behind the wheel of this beauty and rock out!
The LFA catapults to 62mph from rest in under 3.7 seconds, and redlines at 9,000 rpm, with a top speed of 202 mph. Only 500 units of the LFA will be built, and each carries a hefty price tag of USD375,000. Seems like Lexus is determined to inch its way into the German and Italian-dominated supercar fraternity.
747 HP Ferrari 430 Scuderia Edizione by Novitec Rosso
Posted on: October 22, 2009No comments yet
The German tuning company called Novitec Rosso decided to pay homage to the
Italian supercar with a specially beefed up and tuned model called Edizione 747.
The source of this beast power lies a heavily modified version of the
naturally-aspirated 4.3-liter V8 that produces 510HP and 470Nm of torque in stock form.
No they did not stop there, look at its beauty and then read on!
Ok looks beautiful but what else did Novitec Rosso do to this brute? They slammed in a
twin-supercharger, new software for the ECU and various other upgrades. This boost
the engines V8 output to a whopping 747 horsepower. Now thats a lot of horses!!
With all that extra muscle it takes the Edizione 747 less than 3.4 seconds to accelerate
from zero to 62 mph and 9.4 seconds to 124 mph, while the Italian supercar goes
on to achieve a top speed of 218 mph.
Novitec Rosso says that the Edizione 747 comes equipped with a new inter cooling system
that features its own dedicated water circuit while the firm’s engineers have also developed
a special under body with integrated air deflector to optimize supply of cooling air to the engine bay.
The Rolls Royce Phantom was featured on National Geographic’s Ultimate Factories

The Phantom is the first Rolls-Royce motorcar to be introduced since the company was acquired by BMW in 1998. Each Phantom is a unique combination of state-of-the-art technology and old-world craftsmanship, constructed with meticulous attention to detail. Manufacture of the Phantom begins in Unterhallerau, Germany, where its strong, stiff and lightweight space frame chassis is built. Each space frame and body shell assembly is then sent to BMWs factory in Dingolfing Germany for corrosion-resistance treatment and primer paint. Next, each Phantom is shipped to a manufacturing facility constructed by BMW specifically to build the new generation of Rolls-Royce motorcars.
It takes an average of 450 hours and the skills of hundreds of dedicated craftspeople, artisans, designers, engineers, mechanics, painters, sewing machinists and others to hand-build each car. At a base price of $380,000, the Phantom comes equipped with an impressive list of standard amenities including 90 square yards (75 sq meters) of A-grade Bavarian leather upholstery and book matched interior wood trim, hand-crafted from exotic veneers, all of which are fashioned right in the main assembly building of the Goodwood plant. With the Rolls-Royce customization, or bespoke program, however, the options are limited only by the boundaries of the buyers bankroll and imagination.

Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce
Posted on: September 29, 20092 comments so far (is that a lot?)
Yet another creation from the Lamborghini Team. Here is a detailed look at the Murcielago LP 670-4 SV.
The LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is described by Lamborghini as “exceptionally purist”. The description fits as the LP 670-4 SV is more powerful, lighter and therefore faster than the already pretty quick LP-640. As its name suggests, the LP 670-4 SV boasts an increase in power to 670 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque for Lambo’s 6.5L V12, all of which was achieved through simply optimizing the engine’s valve timing and tweaking the air intake system.
PRESS RELEASE
Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce – the new king of the bulls is even more powerful, lighter and faster
The Lamborghini Murciélago is one of the most extraordinary super sports cars of all time. Automobili Lamborghini has now expanded its model range with a new, exceptionally purist and even more extreme top model – the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is even more powerful, lighter and faster than the Murciélago LP 640. With the output of the 6.5 liter V12 increased to 670 hp and a weight reduction of 100 kg (220 lbs), the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce boasts a power-to-weight ratio of 2.3 kg (5.1 lbs) per hp. This catapults it from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in a breathtaking 3.2 seconds and powers it on to a top speed of around 342 km/h (212 mph). Distinctive design refinements ensure that each of this 350-unit limited edition series conveys its full potential from the very first glance.
With its outstanding performance, razor-sharp precision and exceptional high-speed stability, the Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is the ultimate performance car for advanced sports car drivers. The super sports car has been extensively redesigned with a new front and rear, an innovative engine bonnet and a choice of two aerodynamic set-ups featuring either a small or large rear spoiler. The interior in Alcantara and carbon fiber provides a purist and minimalist approach.
In order to achieve the substantial weight reduction of 100 kilograms (220 lbs), the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce was extensively reworked and redeveloped in virtually every aspect – from chassis to engine and transmission, right through to the interior. The increase in engine output from 640 to 670 hp is the result of optimized valve timing and a reworked intake system. The significantly modified aerodynamics with substantially increased downforce brings considerable improvement to vehicle stability at very high speeds. With the small standard-fit rear spoiler, top speed stands at 342 km/h (212 mph), while the large “Aeropack Wing” and its added downforce gives a top speed of 337 km/h (209 mph).
“The new Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is the systematic continuation of our brand philosophy. It is more extreme and uncompromising than virtually any other automobile,” says Stephan Winkelmann, President and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini. “As the new top model of the highly successful Murciélago range, the SuperVeloce displays not only outstanding driving dynamics, it is also further evidence of our company’s technological expertise. Customers can look forward to an utterly unparalleled driving experience.”
Design and aerodynamics
The Murciélago is an icon of the Lamborghini brand – a sports machine of menacing character and brutal power. Its unique design radiates a supreme form of highly concentrated sensuality. Wide, low, with its glass area pushed way forward and a long, taut back – the interplay between the soft contours of the basic form and razor sharp edges is the perfect expression of the Lamborghini design language. In the totality of its character, the Murciélago is without comparison on the sports car market.
Yet even a character like this can be further refined – the new Lamborghini Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is the more extreme, even more purist pinnacle of the model range. This is clearly evident from the very first glimpse of its completely redesigned front end – pulled way forward and finished in matt black paint, the carbon fiber front spoiler is connected to the front end via two vertical elements. The large air intakes for the front brakes are more powerfully emphasized. The new front fenders feature additional air intakes for brake ventilation. The air vent for the oil cooler located in the driver-side sill area is painted matt black to match the sills.
The modifications are even more apparent around the mighty engine bay of the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. The twelve-cylinder engine is presented as an engineering masterpiece under a transparent engine bonnet that boasts a completely new architecture. Hexagonal polymer plates made from transparent polycarbonate are set on three levels within a carbon fiber framework. The layers are open towards the rear, playing a key role in the thermodynamics of the high-performance engine.
The impressive rear end of the SuperVeloce is dominated by a veritably noble, flat and extremely wide exhaust tailpipe and, on the underside, by a two-level diffuser system finished entirely in carbon fiber. The rear light clusters display their signals in that distinctive Y-shape that has been a fixed element of Lamborghini design since the Murciélago LP 640, Reventón and Gallardo LP 560-4. The panel between the lights is made from carbon fiber, while the large intake mesh below expands across the full width of the rear end. Made from thick-walled aluminum, the hexagonal pattern is laser-cut and a Teflon coating provides the necessary heat protection.
The aerodynamics of the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce have been completely redeveloped. Alongside the enlarged front spoiler and the twin rear diffuser, the new fixed rear spoiler also plays an important role. Customers can choose between two versions, with the small rear spoiler providing improved downforce at high speeds. As an option, the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce can be supplied with the “Aeropack Wing” – a large, fixed, carbon-fiber wing mounted on two carbon-fiber brackets. The new aerodynamic set-up provides a significant boost to directional stability at the very highest speeds. The top-speed downforce on the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce with Aeropack is strongly increased.
Bodyshell and lightweight construction
With the construction of the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, Lamborghini proves its expertise in the manufacture of lightweight materials and in working with hi-tech carbon fiber. The structure of the super sports car is a composite construction of extremely stiff carbon components and a tubular steel frame – as in a race car. The transmission tunnel and the floor are made of carbon fiber, attached to the steel frame using rivets and high-strength adhesives. The roof and the exterior door panels are formed in sheet steel, while the remainder of the outer skin is made from carbon composite material.
For the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce, engineers in Sant’Agata Bolognese recalculated the framework and selected a new, super high-strength sectional steel. This achieved two objectives – on the one hand, they increased the torsional stiffness of the chassis by 12 percent to provide improved handling precision and, on the other, they were able to reduce weight by 20 kg (44 lbs), making a significant contribution to the reduction of overall vehicle weight. And the systematic approach to lightweight design continues throughout the entire bodyshell. The front fenders, the rear side panels/fenders and the casing for the third brake light are made of a modified carbon-fiber material. Combined with the removal of the drive for the moveable spoiler, this brings a further weight reduction of 13 kg (28.6 lbs).
Added to the 33 kg (72.6 lbs) of weight reduction from the chassis and exterior, are 34 kg (74.8 lbs) from the interior, as well as over 33 kg (72.6 lbs) removed from the engine and drive train.
Power unit and transmission
The longitudinally mounted 6.5 liter V12 delivers the infernal power for an unparalleled driving experience. With 670 hp (493 kW), the engine in the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is 30 hp more powerful than in the Murciélago LP 640. The twelve-cylinder sends its mighty 660 Nm (487 lb-ft) of torque to the crankshaft at 6,500 rpm; maximum power is reached at 8,000 rpm, with an average piston speed of 23.7 meters per second – a figure almost comparable to race engines.
The V12 is eager to deliver its performance – it brings its menacing power with immediacy and precision to guarantee breathtaking performance – after only 3.2 seconds the SuperVeloce has already reached 100 km/h (62 mph).
The engine block and heads of the V12, positioned at the ideal cylinder angle of 60 degrees, are made from aluminum. The four chain-driven camshafts are variably controlled, while the intake manifold operates in three stages – both technologies add even greater thrust to the merciless pushing power. To increase the performance of the SuperVeloce, the intake system was modified, the valve train optimized and, most importantly, valve travel was increased.
The control electronics for the V12 were developed internally by Lamborghini – each cylinder bank has its own high-performance processor. If the engine needs more cooling air, intake funnels emerge from the rear pillars: when not in operation, they lie flush with the bodyshell. Dry sump lubrication enables the V12 to be mounted extremely low down, benefiting the handling dynamics: this also guarantees oil supply under extremely dynamic driving conditions. With 12 liters of lubricating oil in circulation, the oil cooler is located on the left side of the vehicle and cooled by air flowing through the aperture in the sill.
The weight reduction of more than 26 kg (57 lbs) in the engine area was derived primarily from the completely new exhaust system. The muffler has been redesigned and even the mighty tailpipe of the SuperVeloce manufactured from new materials is lighter than on the Murciélago LP 640. But most of all, the new exhaust system makes for an acoustic experience that is surely equal to the driving performance – from the heavy rumble of a stormy night, through the trumpeting of mighty elephants to the roar of a raging lion, the SuperVeloce performs the grand opera for 12 cylinders, 48 valves and 8,000 revs.
The SuperVeloce is equipped as standard with the sequential, automated manual transmission e.gear, which uses electro-hydraulics to shift gear extremely quickly and smoothly. A cockpit display informs the driver of the gear currently engaged. In addition a special “Corsa” mode and a “Low adherence” mode are available.
As a no-premium option, the SuperVeloce is available with a six-speed manual transmission. Its short metal shift stick runs in an open gate of classic Italian elegance. In both variants, the new lightweight clutch makes its own contribution to the weight loss program.
All-wheel drive and chassis
The Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce delivers its extreme power to the road with great reliability – assured by its permanent all-wheel drive. Before the rear wheels spin, the viscous coupling sends up to 35 percent of driving force via its additional shaft to the front wheels. The front and rear limited-slip differentials are set at 25 and 45 percent. With its four driven wheels and traction, the Murciélago delivers a decisive advantage over rear-wheel drive sports cars when it comes to accelerating out of a corner – and always with maximum stability. The rear axle bears 58 percent of its overall weight – a distribution ratio that is highly beneficial to traction.
Explosive dynamics, tenacious cornering and extreme speeds – the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is a super sports car packed with aggressive power, but by no means a mean-spirited car. Its steering requires very little power support, giving full control of the car to the driver. Those prepared to tackle the beast head on are quickly rewarded with intimate contact and trust – as speed increases, so the Murciélago reveals its strengths, thus exposing a character with no hidden surprises and behavior that can always be anticipated.
The Murciélago is fitted with double wishbone suspension all round. Spring struts – two on each of the rear wheels and one on each of the front – control the loads transferred from the road. The standard-fit lifting system enables the front end of the vehicle to be raised by 45 mm (1.8 inches) to avoid obstacles such as garage entryways. The SuperVeloce is equipped with exclusive “Ares” alloy-forged wheels, bearing the exclusive five twin-spoke design. The front wheels are clad in 245/35 ZR 18 rubber, while the rears sport 335/30 ZR 18. High-grip Pirelli P Zero Corsa tires come as standard.
Four brakes controlled by a hi-tech ABS system are capable of mighty stopping power when required. The Carbon Ceramic (CCB) brakes are fanned by cooling air flowing through enlarged channels in the bodyshell, while openings in the front fenders provide additional ventilation for the SuperVeloce. The ceramic discs are exceptionally lightweight, fade-free and capable of extremely high operational performance.
Interior and equipment
Even stepping into the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is an experience as individual as the vehicle itself. The upward-opening doors – a solution developed by Lamborghini in the early seventies for the Countach – are released via small latches, then swing wide open to reveal a panorama of the exclusive interior of the Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce. The dominating materials are Alcantara and carbon fiber, which make for an ambience that is as high-quality as it is sporty.
The sports bucket seats come as standard and provide exceptionally firm support around the hip and shoulder areas. The bucket seats are made from lightweight and highly robust carbon fiber and guarantee the driver perfect support, even in the most extreme driving situations. The Murciélago’s standard seats are also available on the SuperVeloce as an option free of charge.
Not only the seats are upholstered in black Alcantara micro-fiber; the cockpit and the roof lining are also finished in this high-quality, lightweight material. The Y-shaped perforations on the seats and roof lining bring additional finesse, with an inlaid backing material in the same color as the exterior paintwork. The Murciélago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce can be delivered with the paint finishes Giallo Orion, Arancio Atlas, Bianco Isis, Grigio Telesto and Nero Aldebaran, as well as Bianco Canopus (white matt) and Nero Nemesis (black matt) as an option.
Naturally, the interior also makes its contribution to weight reduction. The door panels are clad in carbon fiber, as is the wide center tunnel. The application of Alcantara instead of leather is another weight-saver, just like the selection of sports bucket seats and the omission of the radio-navigation system (if requested, this is available as an option). At the end of the day, the music in a Murciélago comes from the engine compartment. Overall, modifications to the interior contribute over 34 kg (75 lbs) to the SuperVeloce weight loss program.
But absolutely no corners have been cut when it comes to one characteristic that is a feature of all Lamborghini super sports cars – the exceptionally high quality of the workmanship. The craftsmen in Sant’Agata Bolognese are all masters of their respective trades; the three-year warranty bears testimony to absolute faith in product quality.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 tribute to Valentino Balboni
Posted on: September 26, 2009No comments yet
Few names resonate more with the Lamborghini faithful than Valentino Balboni, Lambo’s long-term test driver who’s honed every model to roll off the line since 1973. In an ultimate tribute to Balboni, the Italian supercar manufacturer has created this: the Lamborghini Gallardo LP 550-2 Valentino Balboni.
As its name would imply, the Gallardo ditches the standard model’s all-wheel drive system and sends power to the rear wheels, and according to the automaker, the 550-2 “was conceived in line with [Balboni's] own thinking, and it meets many customers’ requests for a model with a unique character, which offers a very special kind of active driving fun.”
The 5.2-liter V10 has been tweaked to put out 550 hp and coupled with a the Gallardo’s reduced curb weight (3,042 pounds), the LP 550-2 can sprint to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds and top out at 199 mph.
As we saw yesterday, the exterior receives a new set of Scorpious wheels (hiding a revised suspension) and a white and gold stripe running the length of the Lambo, with the theme carrying over inside in the form of a white leather center console and seats. Eight exterior shades are available, along with black, orange or yellow brake calipers, depending on the chosen hue, and in addition to the standard transparent engine cover, rear-view camera, navigation system and Bluetooth integration, buyers can option up for the e-gear transmission and carbon ceramic brakes.
This purest of Gallardos will be limited to 250 units, each bearing a serial number and Balboni’s signature on the left side window, with US pricing starting at $219,800. Make the jump for the official release.
Ferrari 458 Italia

Ferrari has drawn from the visual spirit of the Enzo to create a power-packed replacement for the F430 that shuns the rounded curves of its past V8s in favor of chiseled, unmistakable aggression.
Boasting a new 4.5-liter V8 engine, a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and a 202-mph top speed, Ferrari has revealed that the car–code-named F142 and long rumored to be named the F450–will be called the 458 Italia. Following Ferrari lore, it stands for a 4.5-liter engine with eight cylinders, though why Ferrari thought people would forget it came from Italy is anybody’s guess.
Lamborghini Reventon Roadster
Posted on: September 25, 2009No comments yet
A two-minute video featuring the Lamborghini Reventon Roadster has just been released, but don’t expect to see too much of the car in the clip. In what looks more like a perfume commercial from the 1980s, the somewhat confusing video breaks down several longshots that have better odds of happening over ownership of the car.
Odds of giving birth to a Nobel Prize winner are one in eighty thousand, while only one out of every two million will reach the summit of Mount Everest. Crocodile attack? One in thirty-five million.
What about owning the Roadster? One in seven hundred million, according to the uninspired commercial.
The sad thing about the spot is that it tries so hard to brand the car as exclusive, that it saps almost all desire to actually consider ownership. Simple is good: show the car on the road, tell me how awesome the 661 horsepower car is, then tell me that no more than 20 will be produced. Ever.
Hopefully, ad agency Philipp und Keuntje will go back to the drawing board on this video, which was used to introduce the supercar in Frankfurt. Disagree? Let us know by leaving a comment.
